Anyone own the Britax Affinity

Seriously considering purchasing this pushchair as it seems to meet all my requirements, does anyone own this one? And if so what do you think?

Keen to have something to use both in city and then some countryside walks, mostly tracks. Plus I'm pretty short so the adjustable handle bar is important. At 5 ft whilst I really liked the uppababy vista I felt the handle was too high on the lowest setting.

So any advise welc

Yes, I have one and I really like it. Have you tried one out?

For value for money, it is superb. I guessed at the price being £200 more than it actually is. The chassis is beautifully finished, the fabrics are great, the handlebar and bumper bar are covered in leather.

The handlebar should suit you. I am 5ft 6ins and I have to have the handlebar on the highest setting. I am sure there's 7 settings so, they go lower! It will be much better for you than the Vista which was tall even for me!

The air tyres are fab and the adjustable suspension is something rare to see on a pushchair, let alone one at such a good price.

The seat is a good size - my nearly 5 year old can fit in it. I like the swing away bumper bar and big hood - the mesh section is right at the back so the sun is not in the child's eyes when sleeping unlike other Britax pushchairs.

The downsides - its on the heavy side both to lift, but also to push. But it is fairly bouncy to push on the air tyres so once you are going its fine. The recline buttons are underneath the seat which means bending down to do them. Not great for my bad back.

But I LOVE the look and feel of the Affinity. TBH you could easily sit it in the same class of pushchair as an iCandy Peach or Bugaboo Cameleon and yet its up to half the price. There's tons of photos here which may help you. All round its a big positive from me really apart from the weight, and recline. But the Affinity is absolutely packed with details and features which TBH you dont usually see on a pushchair in this price range with the quality to match. There's nothing cheap feeling about it.

I love all the colour options too, the choice of 3 chassis colours, the chance to have a different colour pack if you want a change (I think its about £50 for everything!) or a different carrycot to seat colour. Also they have matching car seat colours too :)
