Uppababy vista overnight question

Cordial · 19/06/2013 20:20

I am planning an overnight trip and I know that vista carrycot is suitable for overnight sleeping but wondering can the bassinet be on the floor or does it need to be mounted on the chassis for air flow?

Thanks in advance

i emailed them to ask and they said was fine on the floor if needed

I am pretty sure its suitable - in fact almost certain because there's air holes under a flap on the base of the carrycot. Usually carrycots need placing on a firm surface or the chassis ie not on a bed. Although Uppababy I am sure produce a stand for the carrycot. TBH I would phone Uppababy's really helpful customer service and ask them :)

Floor is fine as long as you open the vent flap thingy on the bottom.

We have used in a hotel room and was easier on chassis just because of the height, but have used on floor when visiting friends etc.

By the way, Uppababy do make a stand but it's over £100- we bought a lovely wooden rocking stand for ours on Amazon, about £12 IIRC, and it fitted perfectly.

SmileGrinSmile Thanks folks very useful I was imagining having to carry the chassis up 3 flights of stairs. Hurrah
