Okay so iv decided on my double (I think) and it's the bugaboo donkey! This ticked all the boxes for me, I was just wanting some real life experiences, any added pros/cons that don't come to light until after a few months use?

I just have to convince the OH that it's worth bankruptcy the cost
Thank you in advance!

I haven't had mine long but no cons as of yet. I think cons way differently for everyone.

The handling for me isn't heavy and I've had no problems fitting it through the doors. I think those were the main cons I got when looking at reviews but I've had no problems.

Maybe someone who's had it longer may have a better idea.

I've probably written enough on here about the Donkey...
I loved mine - lovely to push, loved the fabrics, seat units, feel etc.
But the conversion was a nightmare - I had two and both were as bad. Some days it would convert easily, other days I would be huffing and puffing to pull the thing apart, to get the clips in and out etc. Its even worse when its icy cold, the wind is blowing a gale, the rain is pouring down and you are stood in the middle of a busy multistory car park with no room down the side of the car (so you are in the road) trying to huff and puff the pushchair into Duo mode. I have to say I did once abandon a shopping trip because I couldnt face putting it up, and I also did get to the point where by the time I had built the Donkey, strapped two children into footmuffs, winter coats etc that I actually had no desire to go anywhere!
If I could have left it permanently in Duo mode I would probably still have it, and would be raving about it TBH. However I couldn't, and we also struggled to store it as its pretty big folded even in Mono mode (and you need somewhere to put the second seat).
The basket is also not as big as it looks which frustrated me after having doubles with much better baskets. Its really shallow on one side and by the time you get the raincovers (hard to get on) into the basket, theres not much room for much else.
Handling wise its beautiful to push, feels fab (although I hated the gap in the handlebar as it was right where I wanted to put my hand and was cold in winter), and the children always looked great in it.
My advice would be, if you never have to convert it from Mono to Duo, and have the space to store it, then definitely buy one. If you need to convert it to Mono for storage / the car / front door, then don't. Find something easier.

Thank you for your responses,

Hopefully I wouldn't have to convert it too much! It's just the only double I can actually say I like that ticks the boxes, I don't really like tandems as the back child always seems to get the bad end of the deal, plus I'd rather width then length!
I currently have 2 cameleons and i'm looking into getting the bee plus as you can see I am a bugaboo addict, i hope that's not why the donkey appeals to me! bugaboo tinted glasses*

Honestly dont worry about what the lower child will think! Most love the lower seat. My eldest fights to get in the lower seat when she can!

Oo you've got me thinking again now!
