Help deciding on new pushchair?

Hi wife has just had second child a week ago and we have got a linear freeway from the first child which we hate, we are looking for something a bit more lightweight and was thinking of a zapp xtra.

Is this a good choice for a newborn or is there better out there?

It really depends on what features you want and how much you want to spend! I don't think a zapp can be used from birth unless your going to attach a car seat and then you are limited to keeping your journey to two hours or less as your not supposed to use a car seat for longer than this (or on a regular basis anyway). What sort of things are your looking for from a pushchair?

Oh i thought you could use it from newborn never mind, looking for something that is easy to move and light and does not take up loads of space in the boot

Yes you can use the Zapp Xtra from birth. However it looks very exposed and you may want to think about how to make your baby feel more snug. But it can certainly be used from birth.
It is light and easy to use. However the handles are very low and it can be tricky to fold and unfold - try and have a go with one. But I have had a Zapp and a Zapp Xtra - the first was second hand and easy to put up and down, but the second was from new and was really hard to do. So it could be luck of the draw, or they loosen up over time?
I would advise that if you use the Xtra with the seat unit, that you dont use the same chassis for the car seat. I lost my seat adaptors and they cost a lot of money to replace. They simply rolled away in the dark one night and took 6 weeks to replace!
To be perfectly honest I swapped mine for a Baby Jogger City Mini and it was the best thing I ever did!
