Double bugaboo or I candy peach?

I have a 9 month dd and am almost 5 months pregnant with number 2. I currently have a bugaboo cameleon and absolutely love it. I was going to get the bugaboo donkey but they are wide and I would have to take on seat off make the pram a single and carry the other seat just to get in and out of my lift, block and front door. The only other pram I have seen that I kind of like is the I candy peach blossom I think it's called. I'm not a fan of the prams with one baby under the other but the I candy seems to be more one infront of the other... And would be more practical for me getting in and out of my flat.. Anyone got these prams could give me some advice? Can not babies see in the I candy or is the one at the back staring at a seat?? I'm debating to go for the donkey as I love the cameleon but it will be hard work! Help please??!!

Theres loads of room down the sides for a child to see out of the Peach Blossom 2. Even more so, if you consider the new iCandy Apple 2 Pear where the front seat is considerably higher than the other giving more space between the seats.
My eldest LOVES the lower seats in our tandems - she always asks to go in there. I was chatting to another mum this week who said the same. So your child(ren) may surprise you by being fans even when you are not.
I had the Donkey and converting it from mono to duo mode was the thing I didn't like. It isnt the easiest thing when cold and wet.
I think the Peach Blossom 2 is hard to beat especially with such a small age gap.

My friend had a peach and hated it. It was like a tank and really heavy and hard to steer.

Ihateparties · 31/05/2013 21:03

That sounds like a pear....

FeelingHip · 31/05/2013 21:03

I have the donkey and love it, would defo recommend. It's not very difficult to convert from single to double (and back again)

Check out the baby jogger city select too. I've 16 months between mine and its been great. Still using it 20 months later and it looks brand new.

Thank you, I don't know much about icandy prams , in guessing the peach blossom 2 is the new one? I'm going to look it up

Do you find it easy getting in and out if shops etc with the donkey?

I had two Donkeys and both were hard work to convert. You must have been lucky Hip, or else I was unlucky! By the time I had converted mine, put the seats on, wrestled the children with the winter coats and footmuffs, I was quite happy to stay at home!

lovemybabiesx · 31/05/2013 22:50

Sounds like hard work, I don't want to struggle everyday or I will end up staying in for the next two years lol

Have a look at the new icandy apple2pear they're releasing it very soon and it looks fantastic and definitely cheaper than the bugaboo and icandy peach. There's loads of pics on bestbuggy.co.uk and you can see it in comparison to other pushchairs like the city select. It's the one I'm going for so perhaps I'm a bit biased Grin

Il have to have a look, it was easy choosing one pram but doubles really are not very nice, either they're too wide or one poor baby staring at the back of a seat or are close to the floor and all the dirt blows near them. Maybe I will just stay in for the next few years lol

Another one to have a look at if you like the icandy kind of look but the one under the other aspect bothers you (weirdly it seems to bother parents far more than children) is the brevi ovo twin.

lovemybabiesx · 01/06/2013 09:16

I don't really like the look of I candy but apart from the bugaboo it's the only half decent one I've seen. I don't like the thought of the baby not being able to see when I know how much my dd loves looking out the pram.

I think the stroll air duo is about to be released soon you could have a look at that one, I don't know very much about it but there's a couple of threads on here regarding it. To me it looks very similar to the donkey.

lovemybabiesx · 01/06/2013 09:28

Who makes that pram?

milkymocha · 01/06/2013 09:32

Ive had my donkey for 15 months and it really isnt that difficult.
Life with a toddler and baby in any pram is going to involve lots of faffing around tbh!

The pros most definitely outweigh the cons on the donkey!

Sophialeroy1 · 01/06/2013 10:09

www.stroll-air.com/strollairmyduo.html
It's an American brand I think, that's coming over to the uk.

Sophialeroy1 · 01/06/2013 10:12

I'm not sure if you wouldn't have the same problems with any side by side as you would with the donkey, unless you completely rethink your choices and pick one of the narrower doubles.

Ihateparties · 01/06/2013 11:07

Exactly how wide is the access points to your house/flat, you need to know if you can fit a side by side in and out!

Helspopje · 01/06/2013 11:09

Mountain buggy duo or duet?

islasmummy2013 · 01/06/2013 11:49

I am in the exact same dilemma! I will have nearly 12 months between my two and i'm currently a massive cameleon lover (I own 2..woops) I'm currently swaying towards to donkey as it's not actually as wide as it seems! I'm mono mode its the same width as the cameleon and in duo its only 14cm wider, so still small enough to fit through a standard doorframe,
The peach is definitely a close contender though, it's to poor access to the carrycot that puts me off
