I am probably going to buy a maxi cosi noa but...

I just want to check if its the right thing to buy?

We are keeping our uppababy vista for up to another year. It's great. But we want something for when we go away on holiday later this year (baby will be 10/11 months by then) or when we need to use something smaller in the car etc. Up to £150, would like a Sun canopy if possible, and a reclining seat. And decent wheels.

Babyzen Yoyo looks fab online but we can't justify the price with a Vista already

Nuna Pepp also looks good online but a bit too expensive, and maybe a bit big for what we want

Uppababy g-luxe again looks good online but I think £195 is a lot for an umbrella buggy.

I think I like the fold buggies rather than umbrella style. But everyone seems to buy Maclaren? They are also at the higher end of the price range. And I just don't really like the look of them

Anything else?

I need to see the Noa in the flesh, as it were. Is it a good buy?

I've just bought a Baby Jogger City Mini for the same reasons. Everyone raves about them but I wasn't convinced. Got it this week and I'm in love to the point where I might even sell my beloved Bee.

We have no decent pushchair stores nearby that stock all of the above. Have seen the Noa online for £120 Inc free delivery through kiddisave.com. Not sure if there is a 2013 model due out.

That's why I've bought it. We're probably going on a ship, mooching round NY for a couple of days and then flying home so need something that's comfy, big hood, reclines, is fairly robust but a small not umbrella fold as the last time we went I had a maclaren and it took up half the cabin folded! I think it would cope with a flight better than the Bee which, although I love it, is pretty flimsy.

Just had a look, its too expensive really. Looks fab though, would get it if we didn't have the vista.

Any other ideas anyone?

I just got mine, second hand but only 6 months old and immaculate for £150. But yes, I'm sure there are other pushchairs around.

I love my noa, just got it a few weeks ago. Ds seems very happy in it and the flexible frame makes it nice to push (for a buggy). The fold is the main bonus though, it leaves loads of room in my tiny boot for shopping etc and it is also easy to push one handed.

Cool, is the canopy good? I read the handles are low?

The canopy is a basic hood, it can be extended easily when the seat is upright but if the seat was reclined it would leave a gap. It comes with a clip for a parasol that you can buy separately but I haven't bothered because I hate buggy parasols. I haven't had any sun to see how it shades the seat yet though! The handles are low too so that might bother you if you are tall. I am not so it doesnt really bother me at all. I also have a silver cross zest but much prefer the noa because the push is nicer and the fold much more compact, it also feels a lot lighter than the zest. Can you see one in person anywhere? I also only paid 120 for mine from winstanleys pramworld.

To be honest I don't think any buggy does have a decent sunshade. My zest has a much bigger hood than the noa but we still struggled to keep ds shaded and ended up having to cover his legs with a muslin (he obviously had factor 50 on too!) you might be better getting a proper sun cover if you are going somewhere hot. Good luck with the search!

I'd definately look at a Noa before you buy one. We have a vista which we like too and are also looking for a smaller stroller (see one hand open and close for bus thread). After pushing the vista round I just couldnt get on with the noa's flexible frame but everyone's different so you might like it.

There is no decent sunshade on any pushchair really - the childs legs are usually exposed and its a case of tracking the sun / turning the pushchair around! The Noa actually isnt too bad for a decent hood TBH. If you can stretch to a Baby Jogger City Mini or Metro, then do. If you can find one on Ebay, then the covers go in the wash and come out like new. Either are good pushchairs, but the Baby Jogger would probably be more useful on holiday especially for storage. It will be no trouble on the plane or car / coach.

Thanks all, the bjcm looks to be the way forward. I saw it in the babies r us sale last month for £180, should have got it!
