Get rid of two buggies and get a new one or wait until they fall apart?

I currently have a 3rd hand Bugaboo cam and a Baby Jogger City Mini. City mini has been great but not as smooth a ride as Bugaboo (not sure how authentic it was as was £90 new on ebay!) and love the easy folding and one handed steering you can do with both. However, the plastic on the handles has split in 2 places and wheels are starting to squeek and look a bit bald... Bugaboo lilts to one side and the break sticks, and also seems massive and hard to fold (esp after BabyJ!) but is otherwise OK, just a struggle with the left pulling up hills.
DD is now 20mo and very tall. I don't drive and walk everywhere - her nursery is 30mins away (I know silly, mum!) so it needs to be lightweight, easy to fold and with a big basket (shopping trips are easier at least with a buggy!).

So what would you do - chuck both, keep one or both? What would you get instead?

How about a city mini GT? It's pretty light, has the lovely fold and squishy tyres for the long walk.

I would apply copious amounts of wd40 to the squeaking bits, wash the covers and try them on eBay.

But then I'm a sucker for a new buggy... Someone more sensible will be along in a minute!

Oh dear, I love a new buggy too.. however a little attention might help your cam (and even if it doesn't you haven't lost anything). I use that non greasy lubricant stuff, silicone maybe, I can't remember what it is but it does the job in a non greasy manner. I recently rediscovered my 3 year old xtreet's all wheel suspension by turning it over, taking the wheels off, cleaning and lubricating random bits (okay, springy and moving bits that looked like they did something) and I must say it has made waaaay more difference than I anticipated. If you have a frame issue, ie warping, no amount of servicing is going to fix it though :-(

A city mini gt sounds like it would suit you if you are willing to work around the low hood rim, a lot of people use them with the hood one notch open so the child's head isn't on the fabric. That has never bothered me personally or my dcs but I know some people really don't like it. For something with more features then a Baby Jogger City Versa or Versa GT would also be good.

What's the silicone lubricant called? Any chance you can check & let me know? I have a sticking brake and I have been meaning to use wd40 but didn't want to get oil on the footmuff...

Ah the sticking break is the white lever part, and I have already tried spraying WD40 as a last resort to no avail. I did the wheels on the Baby J with it too but it was about 3 months ago...
I think I will put them on ebay. Or should I dump the cam as I think it is a frame issue? Prob strip it and sell parts?
So the mini GT sounds goooood....hmmm, how tall can the kid be? She is is top 98 centile height wise so ideally needs a taller option. I keep hearing about Maclarens XT or something but don't think you can push one handed?

Amy of the m&p'd buggies suitable? Just seen they have the single bar to steer and a lot of websites don't do prices for BJCM GT...

here and some other places too but it's not always obvious.
