Hi everyone, just to let you know we did a test drive of a fiat 500 at the weekend, and brought a quinny mood to see if it fitted in the boot.

it did! (just)

how:
parcel shelf out
all pram wheels off
car back headrests off
front wheel stalk rested against the back of the seats, on rhs
pram chair bit (with foot rest tucked underneath) sitting upright on lhs.

it was snug, but possible!

tried it out in the 500c the convertible- no way jose was it going to fit.

just letting you know, as i couldnt find a comprehensive list anywhere online of the prams that will fit in the boot of a fiat 500

Sounds like an awful lot of hassle...

milktraylady · 02/04/2013 14:19

Ditch dc and buy convertible! Grin

Buy an Orbit Baby G2! They apparently fit in the boot of a Fiat 500. I suspect there are other pushchairs which would fit a lot easier!

Tiggywunkle · 02/04/2013 15:26

Just to add, I am sure you can't get much bigger pushchair than a Moodd???!! Why did you choose this one over something smaller?

KatoPotato · 02/04/2013 15:26

I had a bugaboo bee in my Fiat 500. No need to remove any part of car or buggy!

KatoPotato · 02/04/2013 15:29

Also, please be careful driving around without the parcel shelf? A lot of car accidents have been made worse by unsecured buggies flying forward and injuring the driver!

Quinny Moodd's are blooming huge. I loathed removing wheels, would you really want to get all muddy every time you put it in the car?

milktraylady · 03/04/2013 22:07

Ah well I like stylish type things & the quinny mood is the coolest pram!
Got it with the white base & pink seat.
It's gorgeous, felt light to push when testing in shop.

I know the downsides are v small under basket, and it is a bit wide & a bit heavy.

But it's white & pink!!!!

The fiat 500 parcel shelf is titchy anyway, so in a crash the pram in boot wouldn't be able to fly out, but I see where you are coming from.

Ah yes of course you are all bloody right.

It is massive & far too heavy.
And yes taking muddy wheels off is yuk.

Looking for a smaller lighter stroller now!

Get a city mini, I had a quinny and found it awful. The city mini was like finding Richard Armitage naked in a desert oasis.
