Smallest 'big wheel' pushchair from birth?

Can anybody help?

I am a complete newbie to pushchairs but I know that with the surfaces I am going to be travelling over (cobbles, ruts, potholes) I need as big wheels as possible to try to make pushing easier and save my wrists.
BUT... I also need to negotiate very narrow lanes and medeival pavements so ideally I am looking for the smallest size (length and width) of pushchair that has big wheels.

Any suggestions???

I have a Nipper 360, pneumatic tyres, and surprisingly narrow, about 60 cm, comparable with many stroller types. It looks like it should be wider because it is generally a bit bigger.

Thinking about this, Nipper 360 is quite long, I have also had a P&T Sport, which was shorter. They are not made anymore, but P&T do something similar, although I have no experience of it. Mountain Buggy do a compact model with pneumatic tyres too.

If you can wait until summer there is a new easywalker june on the way with MUCH improved handling over the current one. That is the smallest that I know of. The mountain buggy swift is compact for a 3 wheeler but not compared to other types of pushchair. An airbuggy mimi is 55cm wide but i suspect quite long.

Cobbles ruts and potholes here too, I have done it both ways and am currently favouring compact-ness with good suspension over air wheels.

Thanks parties lots of ideas to look into there - I can wait till august... and actually I won't be surprised if i end up doing the carrier/sling thing for the first 6months as there are about a bazillion steps around here too!

Yeah, a good sling/wrap/whatever style carrier suits you sounds like plan. Small and really robust is a gap in the pushchair market imo.

The Oyster with air tyres could be an option? I agree with the new June though if you can wait.
