Buggy options

I am due to have DC2 in October. I have a DS who will be two.

I am planning on getting a double for when I want to take them out. However, there will be times that I or the nanny want to take DS out by himself (so we'll keep the Vista).

I am also going to have a maternity nurse for 8 weeks and I think she'll find a double a bit silly for walking a newborn. I was thinking of getting a Bee for when she wants to take the child out as I could sell it on EBay when we didn't need it anymore.

I love the Donkey but it looks like an arse to fold. So would probably get the Nipper Out N About double.

We can spend some money (not infinite) but don't want to clutter the house up with infinite buggies. I thought the Bee seems to fold the best.

Is this a sensible plan? Or have I missed something?

Can the you not also use the vista for the newborn.. unless of course you're talking about simultaneous outings? I saw carrycots for the double nipper this weekend, which I think is a big improvement on its suitability for siblings. They should be available by the time you will need one.

Hi Ihateparties

Yes I can but I am thinking of simultaneous outings. When the baby is bigger I can use the rumbleseat on the Vista and sometimes will be able to use the buggy board. It's more in the really early days that I thought of getting another. I thought that as the Bee is reasonably marketable I could sell it on and not have it cluttering up my house.

Yes , I definitely think we'll get the Nipper.

You can almost never go wrong with a bee. Keep it or sell it, you will have the choice Grin

Depending on your financial situation I would use the Vista for a newborn and get a stroller for the 2 year old.

Something you can then use later with the baby. Maclaren Quest for example.

Obv if money is no object then go for a Bee, but it seems unnecessary when you have a great newborn pram already.

It's just that my nanny really likes the Vista. I have a Maclaren XT but it lives in the car.
