Double buggy that fits in the boot of a Touran with all seats up?

Just that really, need something that I can just throw in the boot for when we are full. Pretty basic is fine, dts are 1.

I have been given a maclaren triumph but couldn't get it in...

I know I could just check measurements, but I haven't slept in 13 months and I am finding quite difficult, the back seats of the Touran are not straight up so the boot space is bigger at the bottom and it's just too much for my poor brain at the moment!Blush

thanks!

I know an iCandy Peach Blossom fits in the back of a Zafira with all the seats up. Would a Baby Jogger City Mini fit in? Or look at a Baby Jogger City Select. If none of these fit, and an umbrella fold doesn't fit, then I think you are stuck!

I'm not convinced any double will. It's not a big space at all. You can move the middle row of seats foward a bit to give more leg room for the back row. Could you do that, put dts +shortest additional child in the middle row and then use the (not needed) floor space for Maclaren or similar with larger children/adults in the slightly bigger back row?

I think the zafira's boot is slightly bigger. I have a city select and that doesnt fit. I fid try to check the city mini measurements (despite my foggy brain) and it did not look likely.

I hadn't thought about the floor Northern, we usually have the twins at either side with dd2 in the middle, but for those occasions I can try.

Thank you both

I have a c4 grand Picasso and can fit nothing behind when all seats are up. I have a feeling the babyzen yoyo but that's a single. Any chance you could use 2 singles.

Nanny01 · 13/03/2013 17:07

Roof rack ?

ClairesTravellingCircus · 13/03/2013 17:10

Thanks Nanny, but I was hoping there was one that didn't involve roofracks, dismantling, etc. you know just a "chuck in the boot stroller" kind of thing.

It looks like there isn't anything.. wish I'd researched 7seaters better

Maybe the baby jogger city mini. A friend fits the single in, and the double folds the same size width and height wise, so the extra length should be ok

ClairesTravellingCircus · 14/03/2013 11:43

Thanks forevergreek

So if I just check that the length fits I should be ok!
I should be able to manage thatSmile

I would assume so! Maybe visit somewhere like mothercare who let you try them for size.

ClairesTravellingCircus · 14/03/2013 14:36

I'm not in the UK forevergreek and there's very poor choice of doubles where I am, not a chance to try any for real, unfortunately, that's why I kep harasing poor mumsnetters!!

Right I have measured and I do not think it would fit...it comes up high and the boot space at the top is something like 15 cm.

It MAY fit, if its narrowest point is less than that, but need to be sure before I buy...anyone else??

Where abouts are you? As there may be a more local pram of smaller dimensions

ClairesTravellingCircus · 14/03/2013 17:19

Italy

Believe the offer of doubles here is direHmm

They don't even always have them on display and they expect you to part with silly amounts of money from catalogues!

That should say: "believe me"

would this work www.amazon.co.uk/CosattoStroller/dp/B003ZUXXK6 or is it too basic?

forevergreek · 14/03/2013 18:52

in fact in you type in twin pushchair on amazon there are a few which are similar but look to fold smaller

such as
www.amazon.co.uk/Pushchair-complete-reclining-months-Comes-Midnight/dp/B0082139T8/ref=sr_1_26?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1363287058&sr=1-26

ClairesTravellingCircus · 15/03/2013 08:32

Aaah thanks forever you are very sweet! Thanks wasn't expecting people to search for me Blush

I have to admit I had discounted those tandems as I'd like a recline option on both seats, but it may be my only solution.

Thanks againSmile
