Any thoughts on these? they seem an ideal cheaper alternative to a carrycot?

Seen 'em in shops, excellent idea but have never seen one in use. I recently got a silver cross surf nest, which is the same concept and it looks good to me, provides a very flat environment. I have heard people complain that with the baby lying right on top of the seat frame that they seem exposed. I think I would have used one though.

Therevare snugseats where baby lays in top but this is a specific brand and I thought this looked more secure as baby will be zipped in? Too warm for a summer baby though perhaps? anyone got one?

Well with all of these things the harness of the pushchair keeps the baby secure, with any other kind of wedge you could place it inside a footmuff to achieve a comparable effect to the smartmuff. They look nice in the packaging in the shop but someone must have used one....
