Cheap rear facing pushchair suitable from birth?

I'm pg with DC2. We have a trusty Maclaren Techno XLR which I like, but I don't like that it's not rear facing. I've looked at the carry cot, but I think it will be too small, and it seems only to be wipe clean, which is a bit pointless really.

Are there any cheapish rear facing pushchairs out there that I could consider?

Would you consider 2nd hand?

If not:

Joie Mirus Stroller - Poppy Red £100

Note: I have not seen or tried it.

Yes, second hand would be fine as long as I could wash the relevant bits and pieces. I don't want anything really bulky as we're on buses etc. a lot so it needs to be fairly compact.

I have the kiddicare imax adapt in purple, but they do other colours. I got mine brand new from gumtree for £100 as the last wanted a Quinny. The seat is reversible and handle is extendable. Sooo much better than my mothercare xtreme! It also comes with maxi cosi car seat adapters

Hi, I bought an avent casual play stroller about 6 weeks ago and it's fab . If folds with the seat on both parent and forward facing . It has a very similar seat to the oyster I had ( ok it's the same ) even the oyster colour pack fits it .and the basket is HUGE . It came with car seat ,stroller, bag ,raincover ,foam liner and footmuff all for £149 from smyths toy store . Check out the video on you tube

I love my Loola :)

It rear faces, folds with the seat on, stands on its end when folded, can take a carry cot, has a huge hood.

The covers come off for washing, and they're regularly on eBay for about £60 :)

Petite Star Njoy might be ok for you?
