Maclaren Techno XT - Maclaren or John Lewis footmuff??

I've just been given a Maclaren Techno XT buggy by a family member but it doesn't have a footmuff with it - is it worth forking out for the proper Maclaren footmuff to match or is a John Lewis one just as good? I've had a bad experience with a universal footmuff before which slipped down every time I put my LO in the buggy and made the straps really tight, so wanted to know if having the Maclaren one rather than the JL one makes any difference to this? Thanks! x

MacLaren, I tried the John Lewis one with stars on and had to take it back.

I bought the maclaren one from mothercare and got them to price match kiddicare. The maclaren one comes up lovely and high on them.

Fab, thanks very much - I'll just take the hit on the Maclaren one then! Not worth saving the money for the annoyance of constantly having to drag it back up into place, often with LO sitting in it!!

It is £40 on Kiddicare, bit less painful than the £60 in mothercare!

Think I have seen the Maclaren footmuffs cheap in TK Maxx, might be worth a quick look if there is one near you.
