coping with a quinny buzz on the train!

I have the quinny buzz. I am planning a train journey which is approx 1hr20 mins. I plan to use the car-seat attachment to put in my baby who will be 7 weeks old. Am just a bit worried about storing the buggy when its on the train and also having to manage to fold it down and carry it on with the baby in his car seat?! i will be with my 9yr son and a large suitcase too!! from what i remember the pram won't fit through the narrow doors of the train.
Does anyone else travel via train with a young baby? how do you cope?!

The only time I ever got the train with luggage and a baby I used a sling; there was no way I could push the pram, store it somewhere on a busy train AND deal with my suitcase!

Yes, as baby is so young I would recommend just a sling too, it means in busy times you can have suitcase in one hand and 9 year old can hold hand if he wants.

You can phone the train company and ask if you're entitled to assistance- plenty of companies will happily provide assistance for lone parents with buggies and luggage etc.

Depending on how busy the train is you should be able to get on with the pram up, and use the disabled/wheelchair space if its free to get yourself sorted once on board.

I've taken my old p&t on the train a few times by doing this and not needed to put it down at all.

But it's certainly simpler to get on via the disabled carriage regardless of whether you were to keep the pram up or not.

I second using the disabled access carriage. I have a Quinny buzz and it gets on there just fine. However I have never done it with another DC in tow nor with a suitcase! Does the station have disabled access? If not call ahead and see if they will provide assistance.
Whatever happens I recommend taking a wrap sling, just in case. The 7 wo will be snug & safe whilst you haul the buggy and case around.
