Versa with a buggy board?

I'm looking at options for DC2, and I love the versa! However, DS will still need some sort of transportation by the time DC2 arrives but ideally I'd avoid a double or just buy something cheap second hand. Will the versa take a buggy board or would it be a nightmare to walk with? I'm tall, and am terrified of kicking the board with every step :)

I have never had a set up where the buggyboard was completely out of the way, I think some stride adjustment is inevitable. The Versa was pretty good, I had a lascal mini on it but I can't say that I could walk as if if it wasn't there because that wouldn't be true. There was a good gap but not a huge one. Tiggy says the Mutsy Evo has a really big gap for a board so might be worth a look. Someone may have a suggestion of something they have used where the board has been completely out of the way though

Buy yourself a double :) I have tried loads of stroller boards and hate the lot. Everyone requires some kind of compromise on your part. The only pushchair, I would try one on again would be the Mutsy Evo because of the massive space between the handlebar and the child seat. But I haven't tried it.
It was always a relief for me to go back to a double pushchair - its simpler - not just because I could walk properly, but I didn't have to negotiate / deal with a potential disappearing child and also I didn't have a "helper" when shopping and also you dont realise how much "drag" a board puts onto the back of a pushchair. If you know you need transportation for DC2, then buy a cheap double at a good price - treat it as a rental or better still buy well and make a profit when you sell on third hand

I have double and single and board set up, both have their benefits, it depends what you're doing on any given day, mood of child. All sorts. Have a look at an Evo if you can and consider a Versa or anything else that takes your fancy if you can accept that you won't have total stride freedom

Thankyou both, I'll have to have a try really won't I? I often take DS out in the pram then fill it with shopping and throw him in the sling to walk home so was thinking that if he needed to be prevented from messing go in the pram I would pop the baby in the sling and DS in the pram as I'm used to doing similar anyway, and just use a board when he's behaving :)
