Advice please on 3 wheel travel system suitable for dog walking and needs to be light

Hi,
Really hoping someone can help!
I need a lightweight 3 wheeler travel system - suitable for going walking with my dog over rough terrain but also lightweight as I have a bad back. I am struggling to find such a product. Ideally would like car seat to fit the chassis so I can move baby from the car easily.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have the iCandy peach jogger. brilliant for our doggie walks and good to handle. Cars Seat clips in real easy too

As for weight I can fold it up no probs. my mum (dds grandma) struggles a bit. But I don't think she has 'the knack'

I have an I candy apple jogger and that has been excellent. I does everything and I would definitely recommend it. The only thing I found was that as DCs get heavier the buggy can tilt on a slope if you are walking across it. Might be a trait of all three wheelers though. Also have a phil and ted explorer which I find better when they get bigger and they can sit up straighter and not such a tilt.

I can highly recommend the Baby Jogger City Mini GT for dog walking and it fits a carry cot (although is suitable from birth so not necessary) and car seat.

I had a mountain buggy that was wonderful - great on rough terrain, and manoeuvrable with one hand, leaving the other for the dog's lead.

Mini I agree. Where I walk there is a hill that's on a bit of a camber and it does pull the pram to one side. But a mates got a quiny buzz and it does the same. Think it's just one of the small issues with a 3 wheeler

I never had that problem with the MB - and did lots of hills, some steep... When ds was bigger (we only ever used the MB from 3 wks - 2.2 yrs) he liked being bumped down stairs without the buggy being tipped so that it was extra bump rather than level...

Mountain Buggy here too - brilliant steering, great on rough terrain, gravel etc. I walk two westies and have two under two in a MBduo. I also have the single MB urban jungle which is fantastic if I just have the one child with me but the Swift might be lighter and suit you more.

We loved the Mountain Buggy but there were two issues which might be relevant for you. We couldn't fit the big version in the boot along with the dog (lab) and we have one of the biggest boots you can have. The smaller one was great but seemed to be quite narrow so we weren't convinced DS and his broad shoulders would fit in it for much past 18 months. Obviously very specific problems but might be helpful. I was really disappointed as I really wanted an MB!

Minieggs - our MB fitted in our skoda boot very happily - thePolo we had before we had to push half of the seat down if we wanted it flatish. The dog sat in the footwell in the front, so no problem!!! Ds was in our 'urban' until just over 2 and he was very big... and gave up using the buggy at that age.

Glad it worked for you Mistlethrush. We only put our dog in the boot for safety and mud reasons! You must have more patience than me putting the seats up and down too - such a faff having to take the dog guard in and out!

1. dog sat on floor in footwell - so mud stayed on floor level and it was easier for her to get in and out. For longer journeys she had a harness and sat on the back seat (covered) - and the MB folded up and wheel removed to sit flat behind the seats.
2. no dog guard (dog viewed anything over 6" as an insurmountable barrier, despite gamely climbing 6' stone walls in the Dales
3. car seat was simply left down for ease of transportation!

I would be looking at a Baby Jogger City Mini GT / Elite / Summit - probably one of the last two. The fold size is a big advantage.
