What's the difference between the bugaboo cameleon gen1 and gen2

Is there a difference between the 1at gen as the 2nd?

Namely does the handle on the 1st gen extend?

Are there any other differences I should be aware of?

Thank you

Not a lot. They do exactly he same, but 2nd gen has clips on handlebar that I found awful whereas 1st gen has tightening spinny bits so you can have handle where you want. Seat unit has chest pads on 2nd gen, 1st doesn't. That's the difference! I'm selling my first gen and its really annoying how obsessed people are with fact it's newer!

Thanks roymum I was struggling to see the difference.
So it's basically the same except how the handle is positioned/tightened (spinny verse clip)

Can one not buy chest pads?

Is the foam/air filled tires a 1st/2nd thing too?

Are you thinking of buying one? I did mine up so I had the nicer second gen fabric, which is tailored rather than fleece, the rear foam tyres which are second gen too rather than air. That's it, forgot to say because I made those changes sorry! Kept the first gen chassis as I found It better and the seat because my boy is big and chest pads minimised how much room he had and annoyed him but guess you could get hold of some. But I would update any first gen with he newer fabrics and no puncture foam! Selling mine now..
