Have duet for DTs - love it, but thinking of free rider or lascal board for taking DD to nursery. She already has a micro scooter- so it won't be to replace that but we have some very busy roads to cross before we get to nursery and she is a bolter.
Is it a smooth ride still? Does it add much weight?

I have no experience of the free-rider but just looked it up and it looks fab! I'm tempted to give it a go as you can get a connector to attach it to a P&T too Smile

The Freerider is awful. The one small wheel makes it wobbly and feels unstable. My DC rocked too and fro. Its too heavy for a LO to use easily as a scooter - compared to say the Micro scooters which most LOs can use easily. The steering is awful - to non existant for a LO to use again comparing it to the same child who could easily use and steer a micro scooter. It was so bad that after the 3rd time that DH had to pull DC off the road (!!) he declared he was never using it again and it had to go. The board is so rough that I made a hole in my top carrying it. I would look at another board TBH. The Freerider sounds great in principle but it wasn't good to use.

That sounds like it is no good. We already have a scooter and just wanted to use it for the school run. I thought it looked better as they are contained in the front part of the buggy.
Have you tried any other boards with it? I don't know which ones are compatible,
