Phil & Teds Dot 'Snug' carrycot

We are comparing the Phil & Teds Snug carrycot to the Cocoon for use with a Dot pushchair/travel system for a newborn.

We are looking for practicality for a very occasional overnight sleep and for day-to-day out and about use (park, family and friends etc).

Although the Snug is more than twice the price, it is 17cm longer and a bit wider. Therefore, will it be good for a few extra months of baby growth and be generally more robust and practical?
