Which stroller?

I have a BJCM3 2012. I don't like it. So am trying to sell it to fund a lightweight stroller but I'm a bit lost.

I've narrowed it down to a mac XT, XLR or SC Zest Vogue. The macs will probably be out of my price range unless I find a bargain immaculate second hand one. The SC is more in my price range but not as good reviews.

What is the difference between the XT and XLR?

Stroller needs to be lightweight, no need to be suitable from birth as it is for my 15m old until he won't need a buggy any more, some sort of storage/basket access (doesn't need to be huge), some sort of recline, and must have R/C and footmuff.

TIA for any advice.

Really? Is there any way to buy the replacement without selling the BJCM? Or borrowing one of the others from a friend to try for a bit? Just wondering if after the switch you may feel differently and wish you hadn't sold it.

I find it really heavy. I'm not keen on the three wheels. If I could afford the outlay I would buy a BJCM4 but I can't afford it. I love the basket size on it and I love the raincover (the zip is really handy) but that's about all I love. I'm moving to a smaller house and need an umbrella fold really to fit in the smallest cupboards ever. I have nobody who would lend me a buggy. I don't know any other pramos, all my friends have only had one buggy Grin

I have the Mamas and Papas Pulse and love it! I paid about £75 for it in the sale Grin

I saw the Zeta Voom earlier and that has awesome reviews...

I also love love love the Cosatto Supas. They have lots of different designs and are light but sturdy.

Do you have a local Kiddicare/BabiesRUs or if worse comes to worst, Mothercare? (Although I hate MC with a passion)

Oldladypillow · 18/12/2012 19:45

I hated the bj too - heresy I know!
If you want a light small fold have a look at Quinny zapps - fold up tiny and pretty lightweight. Spendy new but tons on eBay - I sold one for £25!

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 18/12/2012 20:28

I want to move away from three wheels, I get stuck in holes in the path!

I have the xlr (used it from.birth with the carryct and carseat) and I love it.

It lies totally flat, has a padded seat liner, extendable handles, the hood unzips so goes.pretty much all the way over the seat (great for napping) and cost per use for me is pennies.

The only downsides are one wheel squeaks (doesnt bother me but me dad keeps muttering about WD40 everytime he is near it), and it folds long - however I have an old.Micra and it still fits fine in the boot.

If I had to, id buy it all over again.

peanutMD · 18/12/2012 20:37

How much are you selling your BJCM for?

I loved mine :o

I found the XT horrible to push and felt like a tank tbh but I hate umbrella handles.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 18/12/2012 21:50

im selling for 180 with raincover. its 2012 chassis with 2011 fabrics so no saggy seat and its immaculate.

ive ruled out the zeta vooom im too wary of how cheap it is.

so mac xt, xlr or quest?
