ICandy strawberry and car boots - anyone know if it fits OK in a BMW 1 series?

Having spent the weekend trying out various pushchairs in John Lewis I think overall we have decided that the iCandy Strawberry best fits our requirements for functionality.

BUT does anyone know if it is OK to get in the boot of a BMW 1 series (not a massive boot)? DH has taken the car for work travel for the next 4 days and I forgot to ask him to measure it before he left!! Has anyone got experience of fitting this pushchair in this car boot?

I really want to get it ordered if possible as there is a wait til Feb at the mo...

Thank you!!

To be honest, you need to go into a store to order - you can't order online. So I would suggest you try it in your car boot when you get to the retailer, before you order! Make sure that you have room too for a changing bag and your shopping or else you will quickly become frustrated by it. But its a gorgeous pushchair and my Strawberry is arriving tomorrow :o Squeeee!!

Thanks Tiggywunkle! Do you know if John Lewis will let me do that - try it out in my boot, I mean...?
It is a lovely pushchair, I'm desperate to get it for every other reason (love the fold and it's lightweight without being too flimsy for me) BUT I do of course need to be sure about the car boot thing.
Congrats on your order!!! Grin

I have heard that John Lewis have put pushchairs into boots, but I guess it depends how near the car park is. Is there no local iCandy retailer that may be easier to try the pushchair in (even if you dont buy from them?)

My Strawberry is lovely. I am a massive Peach fan, and I have to say what has surprised me about the Strawberry is that its lighter to push than the Peach. Its got a really tall handle too. I love the fold action / memory fold / one piece fold. I have been out with it today, but am looking forward to more outings! Enjoy your Strawberry Miarosemum

I'm looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts on the strawberry Tiggy. We have another 7 weeks still to go until ours will be in use, but I'm pretty sure it was the right choice for us.
