I'm looking to buy a Quinny buzz travel system and was wondering wether anyone had anything bad/good to say about it. Thanks.

I got a second hand buzz so the older style and I love itSmile not tried it with a car seat but my friend also has one which she loves, it not either of our first pushchairs, we both tried a few before settling with the buzz, enjoy pushchair/pram shopping, it was my fave thing to shop forSmile

I have one, six years on still going strong (not for the six yr old!). I'd say the brake is not great and you definitely want a pneumatic front wheel, not the solid one. We have the pram/carrycot bit and the pushchair. Although I do have a compatible carseat I never really used it like that. It also is not great for carrying stuff - you can get a seperate basket to fit underneath but it doesn't come with one. I use a "buggy buddy" which is a caribiner that fits on the handle to attach a shopping bag.
I'm pretty happy with it though, these are only minor niggles.

Erm..very wide, no proper storage basket. I would look at other things too before deciding on one personally, there is a lot better out there imho.

TeamBacon · 04/12/2012 10:58

Heavy, unwieldy, takes up your entire boot, nowhere to put your shopping, expensive for what it is. Wider than many double buggies (check the wide measurement against the width of your front door - ours only just scraped through).

It's a bitch to wheel around the shops - I suggest going to Mothercare, putting something heavy-ish in it and trying to navigate the shop. They make up your mind Grin

(I hated mine - can you tell?)

Icantstopeatinglol · 04/12/2012 11:05

I loved and still love mine! It's done for both my kids over 4/5 years! Very smooth to push and easy to manage. I also bought the attachment for the handle to hang carrier bags on.

RandallPinkFloyd · 04/12/2012 11:06

Don't do it, I bought a second hand one as my DS doesn't like facing forwards.

It's fricking huge, weighs about 3 tonnes, the front wheel sticks really badly so you have to take it off and lube it up all the time.

The basket is ridiculous, it's about 2 inches deep, the only clip you can get to go on the handle for bags is £5!

It fills the boot of my land-yacht and is a faff to fold.

I miss my graco, it was much better and a quarter of the price Hmm

elvisola · 04/12/2012 11:09

I had one both times. Great for tiny babies as you can have it forward facing, the carseat attaches easily and it's easy to push.

I found though that by the time the baby was 1 it became too heavy and unwieldy. With my 2.5 year old in it now it's like pushing a tank, plus the shops seem to have made aisles smaller so I get stuck alot.

Am now selling on eBay and buying an umbrella fold stroller.

I think there's more negative about the Buzz than positive. It's wide, heavy, huge folded, pings open of its own accord, the seat isnt the easiest to get on. The basket is too near the floor. There's MUCH better out there TBH.

TribbleWithoutaCause · 04/12/2012 20:31

I'm not a fan of the buzz, I think for your money you can get better pushchairs. It was a faff to fold and put in my boot, and you couldn't store shopping on it for love nor money.

rogersmellyonthetelly · 05/12/2012 10:28

Pita to fold, wide, heavy, crap basket, unfolding can be lethal if you get your fingers stuck. It's a bit of a marmite really, some love it, some hate it. I hated it, dd was about 18 months when I had one briefly, it was a nightmare to push forward or rear facing. There are many many better pushchairs out there on the market for a lot less money. If you have to have one, buy second hand, they are cheap enough and if you hate it you can flog it and not lose too much cash.

milk · 06/12/2012 11:01

You can get much better for £400!

HarlettHoHoHoScara · 06/12/2012 19:26

I tried out my friend's Buzz and hated it for all the reasons already stated...heavy, wide, unwieldy, clunky fold, crap storage etc. etc. My friend had been given it by a relative but even as a freebie, she could only put up with it for a few weeks before she gave up and bought a Bee. It baffles me that they're so popular...every second pushchair I see is a Buzz.

Gatorade · 06/12/2012 19:43

I really dislike the buzz, my DD is now 9 months old and I rarely use it.

When DD was a newborn it was ok as i liked the carrycot part (which you have to purchase separately) but as a puschair the only positive is the fact that the seat can rear face.

You would be better off buying a different tracel system or buy different pushchairs for different situations eg. A town/city/shopping/travel lightweight small puschair and an offroad and running puschair etc as we subsequently did (I can recommend the BJCM and the Out'n'About Nipper respectively)

Floggingmolly · 06/12/2012 19:52

They're crap. I bought it for the rear facing / forward facing option, only to find the sit up and lie back positions only work when it's forward facing.
The axle on mine also snapped in two a week after the guarantee expired!
