Phil and Teds smart buggy

I'm watching a smart buggy on e bay. According to DH I have a bit of a buggy habbit but my trusty old maclaren triumph is on its last legs and I fancy something a bit newer. I am attracted to this because I understand it can be parent facing. I don't understand when and how you can use it parent facing though. The P&T website seems to indicate that it is only up to about six months, but other websites indicate that there isn't a time limit. Does anyone have one? Any ideas?

Yes....it can be used parent facing until I think the age of 2, although for some reason some places say only up to 6 months. If you look closely at the P&Ts website, it says the maximum loads forward and rear facing is actually 15kgs which is an average 3 year old.

Just to add, make sure you try a Smart buggy out before you buy. I thought it looked lovely until I tried one and the handle position is most odd - your hands end up quite close together and you end up walking a bit like a chicken with your elbows out to one side! I couldn't push it for long. The fold is much longer than you would think too, but then again its probably shorter than your Maclaren.

Thanks. DD is 8 months so I think I'll just put in a bid as I'd hopefully get quite a bit of use from it. Don't know of anywhere locally that stocks it so unfortunately not able to try before I buy. If I get it on e bay I'll just sell it on again if it doesn't suit us. DD is our last baby so I'm reluctant to spend too much on a buggy, otherwise I'd look to buy new and would try something out before buying.

We have one for 2YO DD, also bought of eBay.

I love it, it feels sturdy and safe, easy to push, decent basket, I like the rain cover and DD seems to have a nice amount of room in it. It's also fairly easy to fold!

My cons are that the shade isn't attached to the back of the buggy so when DD is in naughty toddler mode she can keep pulling it completely over if that makes sense! I do find it a bit heavy going up steps and it ain't extremely light but not overly heavy either.

YouTube has some good video's, I couldn't try one out but found the video's helpful.
