M&Ps Sola - 2009 vs 2012 model? Anyone know the difference?

So I just took delivery of my Gumtree M&Ps Sola. Brand new alright but it is the 2009 version. To boot Sola is written backwards on the hood (??) I am totally feeling swizzed. The picture in the ad was the 20012 version and when I asked she said it was the latest version. For 160 quid maybe I was expecting too much. This is why I never bloody buy stuff on ebay or gumtree but thought I was being a bit snobby so went for it. I am raging. Does anyone know the difference between the models. TBH, I knew immediately because the pattern on the hood is different but it feels bigger and not as smooth to fold. Do you think I've landed a duffer? I want to cry.

I don't honestly know the differences but I don't blame you for feeling swizzed. I had a 2011 one which I sold in the summer for £170 and that included the carrycot and car seat too - don't think it was that underpriced as I only had one reply to the advert.

If she specifically told you that it was the 2012 model I would be chasing her for a refund. If that doesn't work out I would just put it down to experience, it might even be a better model than the more recent ones, you never know. I was all excited about getting the latest BJCM earlier this year and it turned out to have a worse seat than the 2011 one (luckily they have been fantastic and are replacing it).

I dont suppose the date of manufacture is stamped on the chassis somewhere?
