Bugaboo warranty

I bought a brand new cam off a lady on Wednesday that had been replaced under warranty.
I have the warranty card but not the receipt as it was replaced the shop wouldn't issue her a receipt. ( as she didn't actually pay, bugaboo arranged for her to collect it from the shop as it is the #2 and stock is limited)
How can I validate the warranty? The lady suggested using her details but obviously I would prefer it to be registered to me.

As far as I know only the original owner is entitled to use the warranty, or a family member if the pushchair is given to them. Bugaboo won't honour a warranty for you if you have bought second hand.
Also, as the pushchair has been replaced under warranty, and you have bought the replacement, the warranty is only valid for 2 years from the date of purchase of the original pushchair and not the date of the replacement. To be honest I think the only way you will be able to use the warranty is to get the original receipt from the person you bought it from, and then claim using her name, you will obviously use your own address but will need hers for validation as you will have "moved. House" so to speak. I do have some experience of this, having had numerous second hand bugaboos and had to use other people's warranty. The only way to have second hand and still use the warranty in your name is if the original owner didn't register the warranty, and hands over the original receipt with the pushchair.

Agreed. You don't have a chance if registering a Bugaboo warranty either. Most of the time Bugaboo mysteriously know who the new owner is within days of you buying it. You have even less of a chance if the chassis is already replaced as Bugaboo will have logged it! It annoys me when people sell things with unregistered warranty! If it was bought from a shop in person, most shop owners would remember people buying a pushchair.
A warranty stays with the person who bought it and for that reason you shouldn't let in laws or parents buy a pushchair as you never know (as someone found out) if they will move abroad and leave you with a broken pushchair or even if you fall out!!!
The only exception to this that I know of is if there is a lifetime warranty on a pushchair such as Baby Jogger who will replace certain items with just the chassis number but they too have started asking for receipts.

For the record, I think it's wrong that warranty isn't transferable on pushchairs, as the whole point of a warranty is that it guarantees the product against manufacturing fault for a period of time, and surely this applies to whomever the legal owner of the pushchair is. High time that pushchair manufacturers started to honour their warranty with second hand products. It's done with cars so why not with pushchairs? If the new owner has a receipt from the original owner and all the documentation why should there be a problem?

Car manufacturers honour warranty after resale, why should pushchairs be any different? If a pushchair is faulty its faulty, if a wheel falls off the frame inside the warranty period, it should be fixed free of charge, as long as the current owner has the original receipt to prove the date of purchase. It's just another way that manufacturers escape their obligations to provide goods which are fit for purpose.
