Mountain buggy extras l need

I have just started to use my mountain buggy plus one. My second baby is due this month. I need to buy maxi cosi adapters and may buy the face to face seat.

Do I also need a pump for the tyres and a puncture kit. I had forever Tyres before. How likely is a puncture and might I be stranded if this happens whilst out and about?! Sorry if naive but I have no experience. Thanks in advance.

Do you use a parent console tiggy as the basket is great but there is no other small storage area on it?

Hmmm if you are buying the car seat adaptors for definite is the face to face seat different enough to warrant both? I think it has a fixed angle (doesn't it Tiggy??) pretty much the same as a car seat? If it had a tip recline it would be great but I seem to think it doesn't?

I did actually see my first two face to face seats in real life in recent weeks, looked good but if it is a fixed angle it would only really be useful for a very specific space of time dependent on the particular baby. Although the second one I saw had a very small baby in it, much smaller than I would have put in but it's possible the baby had reflux or something similar that effectively prevents lying flat.

I personally dont see the point of the face to face seat. You may as well just use the car seat as ihateparties says above. It's not like it reined to flat! I posted earlier to say Hamster bags are fab but it hasn't appeared. Well worth buying a set!

You can buy tyres which have either slime already in them, I think (it's like an expanding green/orangey stuff that basically plugs any small holes you might get) or a kind of anti-puncture tape inside them.

Look on ebay or you can order from bicycle shops.

If you do get a puncture, it can be hellish trying to get home on two wheels. I used the taped inner tubes and haven't had any since then.

Ok will get pump and figure out the slime thing! Re face to face...I haven't seen in real life but it looks neat compared to a maxi cosi and wondering if i can in button the top of the fabric secure this seat and still get dd perched on the front. As I think baby wi be out of the cocoon by 4 months but not sitting up yet to go in a proper seat. Bit might be a total fail?!

It says compatible with pre2010 models, my mountain buggy terrain is absolutely ancient - do you think it might still work? Could you let me know what diameter of tubes the connector things work with?

According to my local bike shop, don't slime the tyres, slime is designed for cycle wheels that spin fast enough to distribute the slime properly, it doesn't work properly in buggy tyres. What you want is "thorn proof tape", it's a rubber/fibre flat tape that is placed between the inner tube and the tyre. I bought mine online and got my local cycle shop to fit it in the tyres. Never had one puncture in my MB over 5 years use.
