Sticky handle

Can anyone help? My Bebe pram is now 8 years old and I want to use for new baby but bar handle has gone sticky. I have tried everything from sticky stuff remover to hail varnish remover but nothing seems to work. DH thinks plastic has degraded and need to cover it. Anyone got any suggestions on where to get something to cover bar handle or other? Thanks

This is a common problem (especially with Maclaren) as far as I'm aware you can't save it but you could buy a handle cover from Ebay IIRC.

Or if your handy you could sew some Velcro onto an old piece of material and wrap it around the handle.

Might have to get sewing kit out (hmm)

I bought some handlebar tape from a bike shop and that worked a treat!

Thank you. That sound easier than me sewing!
