Silver Cross Zest vs Maclaren Triumph

Hi,

I'm looking for a lightweight buggy for days out etc when I don't want to take my icandy. Want to get something under £100 if possible, but have been tempted by the Silver Cross Zest and Maclaren triumph as can get either from John Lewis where I feel confident(ish) they don't stock rubbish and customer service is good if something went wrong...

Does anyone have any views/experience of these buggies?

Tia

Is the zest thd really really light one in the black xbx shuts stripes?? I've had both, I'm a big maclaren fan for strollers but hate the triumph. It's thd recline, it's a strap and found that my dc did not like how it made them slump/seat did back even with the strap at it's most upright position. The quest is far better though I prefer the xt as I am tall and also has suspension.

The silver cross actually was called a fizz and wax fzb. So light and easy to chick in thd car, ds was always happy in it, only sold it as I saw the maclaren Dylan's candy bar volo and love thd volo and the colours Blush.

I did have a silver cross pop and it was twerribke do wax pleased with the humbug one. Think it ic reduced on silver cross website I think??

I have a Zest and think it's great. Easy to recline with DS (he's 3) in it. Adjustable leg rest means I can put bags on it when he walks and not worry about them falling off. That and the hood and sunvisor were what sold it to me.

Thanks for your help, I like the sunvisor on the zest too!

I would go with the triumph, i think maclaren are better build quality for buggies definetly. Is your little one too young for a volo, does he still need a pushchcair with a recline?

Nahla321 · 15/09/2012 08:51

or i've just seen the Maclaren globetrotter, this looks like it would suit all your needs.

Silver Cross Pop Classic Stroller in Rouge is £99.99 at the moment at Babies r us :)

Zest and fizz both have a recline but the volo does not, it's not much on fizz but enough for naps. I agree Maclarwn are better made but would not buy triumph and defo not a pop they are truly terrible Grin

Thanks very much for your help, I tested them in the shop and decided to go with zest vogue, I think the sunvisor is great and it comes with a comfy seat liner and adjustable calf rest which the triumph didn't. Seemed the best option for my budget :) the more expensive McLarens looked lovely though :)

I love Macs but I truly hated my Triumph! Glad you chose the SC.
