I have an obaby zezu which is great in many ways. However I also have dogs which need long walks and on rough ground the front wheels bend If they hit a bump at the wrong angle and get stuck. I think I'm going to wreck it at this rate. I need a lightweight stroller that can handle a serious dog walk over rough ground. I've got a terrible back and wearing a baby carrier is murder. Dont want to spend a fortune on a blingy brand name as it will be getting dirty. Any suggestions?.

Mountain Buggy. Its not particularly small to fold up but its a dream to push even over really rough terrain - and ours went with a very solid ds over and through everything with the dog.

Sounds good. Size not a prob as I drive a pickup truck. Is it pricey?

I have a Jane slalom pro and have taken it over some very rough terrain. You may way to invest in sturdy tyres though!

It doesn't fold small, but is comfy to push, regardless of terrain and I truly recommend it.

I have to take mine for a check up after riding it rough on inferior wheels too many times. But it truly is fantastic.

That's a bit more of a realistic price bracket.

I second the Jane salmon pro, ours has taken a right beating walking the dog in all weathers and all terrains.

I have a mamas and pappas sport which we used for dog walking and it is excellent. Got it from eBay for £25 a year ago and is still going strong. Look on eBay and I have heard the Jane ones are good too.

We love our Quinny speedi SX. We've had it for about 2 years and have never had a puncture. We managed to get a brand new one on Ebay for £100 ( a sale return), but they are quite sturdy so I would think you would be OK with a secondhand one.

Ebay for a Mountain Buggy. You won't regret it. If you want serious off-road, go for Mountain Buggy Terrain, if you want a little more control, an Urban would be fine.

No problem at all to buy 2nd hand as they are literally like tanks.

I've got a vintage urban detour and a baby jogger summit. The summit is more capable but I live in the Yorkshire Dales and so in most parts of the country the urban detour would be sufficient.
