Has anyone got a Mutsy Evo?

Hello all

Does anyone have a Mutsy Evo? Is it a good practical travel system?

I have had the Mutsy Evo and I think its excellent to be honest. Its hard to beat for good seating positions, small fold, good hood, adjustable handle and more. I wish the basket was a bit deeper at the rear but its easy to stack things so that they dont fall out. The carrycot is great. The fabrics are lovely. I think its great value for money TBH and I struggle to find fault with it.

Thank you Tiggywunkle. Have you got any experience of the Uppababy Vista as I am torn between that and the Mutsy? I would like a carrycot that baby can sleep in and I can't find out whether that is possible with the Evo.

Yes, I have had the Vista and the Cruz. THey are very different pushchairs to be honest.
I dont know if the Evo carrycot is suitable for overnight sleeping - try asking Mutsy on their Facebook wall. But I have done a lot of research into carrycots being suitable for overnight sleeping and it seems that there is a critical height between the mattress and top of the carrycot that is important - one reason you shouldn't put cocoons etc in carrycots. I would be very surprised if the Evo carrycot wasn't suitable for overnight sleeping as its a good solid carrycot and seemed to have good height sides - I have seen the Vista one too - and I dont think there seemed to be much difference. But ask Mutsy. A baby can sleep in any carrycot during the day just in case I read that wrong because you are deemed to be alert and awake ha ha with a newborn!!

As for which to go for....what is important? The biggest difference for me would be the fold size - the Mutsy is really quite neat, but the Vista folds tall. The Mutsy is easier to put into a car, but the fold is a bit more fiddly. Both have good - excellent - seating positions. The Mutsy does feel a bit of a way from the child depending on where you have the handle, but that makes it good for buggy boards (one day?). Both push great. The Vista basket is much better, and the carrycot is gorgeous. The Mutsy feels smaller and neater to push - the Vista is taller. But you may prefer your child being a bit higher?

What is important to you? I think whichever, your child will be really comfy in both.
