I've pretty much decided to get the bjcm double, but can you use the carrycot on one side and have the other side as the pushchair? John Lewis were unsure Hmm. We'll have a newborn and a 20mo old, not twins. I plan to get the current model as it's in the Boots sale, although I know a new version is due out soon.

Yes you definitely can with the compact carrycot. I'm not sure whether you can take the fabric off only one side though... The carrycots fit on with the fabric on anyway though.

That's good to know! I don't mind about taking the fabric off.
Can the toddler's hood still stay on when the carrycot is on board?

Yes, just buy a 2011 or 2012 model - which will be what is in stock.

Yes.

I bought the BJCM for newborn and 19 month old. Have got the compact carrycot, you just fully recline the seat, remove the hood and the carrycot clips into place.

Pushchair has been fantastic, really glad we chose it Smile

Yes the hood for the toddler can stay on. Raincover still fits with carrycot attached too Smile
