Micralite Superlite question

Hi,

I'm thinking of cashing my tesco club card points in to get this buggy and wondered what peoples opinions of it are? I can't seem to find one in a local shop to have a little go with it. Also I should mention my DD will be around 6 months when I want to start using it - do you think this is ok? it looks so modern & light and amazing, I'm almost worried it won't be comfortable for a 6 month old?

Also can you use a foot muff with it? don't want DD to freeze this winter! Any thoughts gratefully received!

It is great. We used to have one for dc. Yes you can get a footmuff. The downsides are that it tips easily if you hang anything from the handles.

For a younger baby I'd add a sheepskin liner. Be aware that it doesn't recline that well for naps. Well the old version didn't.

Micralite buggies are fab, i have had a fastfold & a Toro, friend has the superlite and it's ace.
You can get the footmuff for it but I could never get to sit right, was awful low down.

Hi, we've moved this into Pushchairs. Thanks.

I have both the Superlite Fastfold (I think they must have merged the two into one) and the Toro. Essentially the chassis are the same - slight differences but they feel the same to push, have the same basket etc. But the seat on the Toro is far far superior - which is pretty much what you would expect. The Superlite Fastfold really does what it says on the tin - its a lighter weight, fast folding, easy to use pushchair. The Toro is not much different but it does take a bit longer to open and close - we are talking maybe 30 seconds more though rather than ages. I am preferring the Superlite Fastfold for my eldest, but my youngest aged just 2, is much more comfortable in the Toro. With a 6 month old, to be honest, its worth the extra. There is not much difference in the fold TBH because the Superlite Fastfold leans forwards ever so slightly when folded and the Toro seat sits within the wheel / handlebar space. They are bigger than you think folded though. They fill my boot lengthwise but there is space widthwise. Both are really good and I am surprised how much I am enjoying using them. If you are planning another child, have a look at the Twofold :)

Hi i also have both the toro (original version) and a superlite and i have to echo tiggy really the superlite seat is very basic no padding and not very supportive for a young baby,i have the padded seat liner which does make it ok for my 8month old however the padding really gets in the way when folding and taking it off every time would be a hassle i have never used a footmuff as it would be even worse. Really the toro is much better for a little one.
