Tough, small-folding pushchair that has bigger wheels (rural dwellers!)

Is there such a thing? I have a nearly 4 year old, a 2.5 year old who's not great at walking or bike riding, and a newborn who is often in a sling but will soon be going in a buggy more. I use a Maclaren techno double when I have two or more children with me, but want a single for when the two bigger ones are at school/nursery.

Since both buggies will live in the car, and we also have to fit in the kids, the dogs and the assorted crap that goes with us, I want a neat, small, easy pushchair, but one that I can take on the rougher paths and occasionally fields as well as on pavements, without it rattling itself to death - my Maclaren is not doing so well!

Any ideas? Small-folding, cheap, tough single with biggish wheels. Doesn't have to be a Mountain Buggy type of thing, just not a flimsy rattler.

Baby jogger Elite or Summit. If you take a minute to pop the wheels off then the Elite is smaller on at least one dimension that the City Mini and I bet the Summit isn't much different. They are really tiny folded and store flat.

I'll take a look, many thanks for responding. I have a feeling they might be a bit more £££ than I was hoping for though, is there a budget version?

To be honest, there's always bargains on Ebay if you keep your eyes open. The older Classic might suit you well.

What about the Britax B Smart 3... Big-ish wheels for offroad. They are also quick release to give more space in the boot. Folded size = 33 x 87 x 62cm. Brand new you can get them for £219.

I would add a link to my website but don't want the admins to tell me off Sad

Summit every time! (sorry, bit obsessed). They do pop up on eBay and gumtree and the frame is the same size as the city mini with the wheels popped off.

Love mine Grin

Out and about nipper 360. Light, fab off road, nippy to push.
