cheaper alternative to BJCM?

Currently have a bugaboo cameleon which is super but a pain in the neck to travel with. I'm looking for a second pushchair which won't take up much space in the boot and folds easily. I travel for a couple of weeks at a time with a 4 month old so something suitable from birth and which is quite comfortable. Any ideas? Or should I just come to terms with the cost of the BJCM? thanks!

Honestly buy the BJCM even if second hand.

I think that's the one. I'm a big fan of Baby Jogger prams anyway. I've never had BJCM twin myself but I have a friend with twins who's been using one since birth. It's great, much better than Maclaren Techno Twin I used for a few months or OBaby Apollo Twin Sport which is very similar to Maclaren.
Combi WE2 seems to be ok but I've never seen one other than online, so I'm not convinced. There's Nipper 360 but price is like BJCM :/ and BJ looks stunning.
As I mentioned in other post there's offer in Boots 320 pounds for BJCM + you can get additional up to 20% off with parenting club codes (I got my single city mini this way - bargain!)
I hope this helps

Beg, borrow or steal a BJCM.
It is wonderful for everything (except bridleways). especially travelling. Get one second hand, they are built to last.

Get the Britax b-agile, apparently it's a copy of the BJCM but 4 wheels. I'm delighted with mine.

our BJCM is under a year old and falling apart - brakes unreliable, rubber handle bit splitting, bits poking through fabric etc. Waste of money

Baby Joggers have a life time warranty on the chassis so if you are having problems then I would give Baby Jogger a call. They are usually great pushchairs.

The handle split on mine too (suspect due to nursery throwing it around :)) so I emailed them and they have sent me a replacement zip on one. HTH.

I've emailed a few times and not had a response yet...

Give Kooltrade a call and ask to speak to Kylie.
