Ideas on keeping babies legs out of the sun when in a buggy!?

Hello,

Just wondering what other mums do to keep their babies feet/legs out of the sun when in a buggy and it is hot.

When my little girl is in a dress without socks due to the warm weather, she kicks a cotton blanket off and her little legs are in the sun.

I know I can use sun protection cream but I dont always want to use it.

Any suggestions, what does everybody else do?

I used one of these ray shades Fitted on buggy and pram. It extends the hood so you create more shade. Always put sunscreen on as well.

I have a P&T Sport, which has a black out sun cover.
The hood on my BJCM is long enough to shade DD's legs (although she is only 9 months).

Attach a brolly - mamas and papas do a neat one that attaches firmly and swings in all directions on a spring to keep baby sage from the sun.

Put loose summer trousers on, or even a thin footmuff just over the legs. When stopped turn the pushchair round to get full shade. Or buy a sun mesh that covers the feet area.

Contrary to popular believe a bit of sun doesn't actually hurt children and babies, in fact there is now a rise in cases of Rickets as so many people are depriving their children of sunlight and therefore vit D!!!

That said there are a lot of excellent sunshades available (parasols are rubbish you need a proper one which goes over the whole buggy).

My LO has lovely brown feet :)

Clip a Muslin over the bumper bar if you have one, they can't kick it off then!

What about a parasol?
