Need another buggy :-/

Now normally I'd be delighted but this time I'm not...

My dm doesn't like my baby joggers Sad she think's they're too big and would like one that's a bit more bone shaker buggy style.

They'd only use it occasionally so I don't want to spend anything on it out of spite for her not loving my bjs

Any recommendations? I've liked the look of the cosatto for personal reasons (footmuff related) but not sure if they're pants... Or I've seen a nuna too. It needs to be small, easy to fold, lightweight, and likely to appeal to an old fashioned granny!

I have a Jane Sonic and can't recommend enough, great for all terrains and definitely not a bone shaker!!

Tiggywunkle · 01/08/2012 16:04

She doesn't like your Baby Joggers Shock!! What did you say lololol!

peanutMD · 01/08/2012 16:07

If their only going to be using it occasionally I'd tell them to deal with it or shell or for another.

Here's a wacky idea: BabyZen YoYo.
[I am actually serious :) - they fold really small and easy, they're tiny and lightweight, but pricey so the cost will need to be shared]

Thanks for all the suggestions! Tiggy, I was not amused! Especially when she called my summit a 'Zimmer frame' grrr.

I was with a friend on weds and she had a worrying moment with an umbrella fold so I've now gone off them.

What about a bjcm micro? Would my city mini/summit stuff fit on it?

I'll look at the Jane, and a friend has just got a baby Zen and loves it! I must get a review off her.

I had a cheap Cosatto. It was crap.

Tiggywunkle · 05/08/2012 22:45

A Micro is actually heavier than a mini but with smaller wheels, smaller hood and no flat recline. I thought you had a mini?
I had a Recaro Babyzen - you can't get more modern than that! I am sure your DM would hate it!! How dare she call your Summit a Zimmer Frame??!! Shock!!

flootshoot · 06/08/2012 13:32

Have a look at the zeta vooom. V. cheap and cheerful but has a gigantic hood like the baby jogger.

NagooingForGold · 06/08/2012 13:37

I'd just shrug it off or invite her to acquire a buggy she wants out of her own money.

I know that's not the point of pushchair chat though, sorry Blush [spendstoomuchtimeinAIBU] Grin

FriggFRIGG · 06/08/2012 13:57

Maxi cosi noa?!

Daisybell1 · 06/08/2012 15:19

I didn't know the micro would be heavier, cheers!

I'll check out the voom and the noa, thank you!

Gold, I'm with you! But they'd want this buggy to keep at theirs, and because it's so far away we go for a couple of weeks at once so I need to be able to bear it for that long Smile

Tiggy, I was outraged!!! I'd only taken it in case we went off road but it was a bit of an overkill for our outings. Lets face it, what I need down there is a GT but there's no way I can afford that.

chicco good for occasional use.....

PrincessScrumpy · 06/08/2012 21:58

My Obaby umbrella fold was actually great for that style of buggy (not as good as my iCandy or Out and About, but for the price it did the job). I found it better than the maclaren but was bought 3 years ago now.
