Thank you EmmaNicole

Works out at £620, which seems a good buy.

We were looking at getting one on eBay ... but this looks like a v good deal! It helps that I genuinely like the orange, though. And in pushchair mode it'll be mostly black anyway.

Tiggywunkle · 19/07/2012 21:32

Its even better with the discount codes knocking around at present.

VegemiteSandwich · 19/07/2012 21:49

Arse. What discount codes? We've just ordered it!! I searched for discount codes and couldn't find any - other than free delivery ones.

Tiggywunkle · 19/07/2012 22:23

There's a 20% one somewhere that worked 2 nights ago plus next day delivery....I believe Mothercare don't take payment until the morning as ome one used the code and then changed their mind and cancelled first thing before payment was taken if that helps.

VegemiteSandwich · 19/07/2012 22:48

I can't find any that aren't expired - but I did find a few that ran out last week/earlier this week. If anyone can find one though, I'd love to know (obviously) - if worst comes to worse I can always order a second one and return the first!! To be honest, I doubt they'd let me have both £150 off AND 20% off that as well - the terms and conditions would prob about that (hopeful face Grin I'm really hoping I haven't ordered this thing on too much of a whim!!).

Mother care have been quite good to us so far - I thought they had a bit of a bad rep, but the lady in the Cambridge store spent ages going through prams and car seats with us - and then told us they had 20% off some big items (but not bugaboos) for that day. It was the last day of the month so I think they might have been trying to boost sales.

Tiggywunkle · 19/07/2012 22:52

I have messaged you.

Bella888 · 19/07/2012 22:53

Make sure to use a cash back site when purchasing the pushchair. Topcashback will save you an additional 5.05percent.

VegemiteSandwich · 19/07/2012 22:53

... and the £150 off offer was put on twitter only yesterday, so I suspect they might have times that for when the 20% off was finished.

Can you all see just how hard I'm trying to justify my impulse pram spend up??

tiokiko · 19/07/2012 22:54

There is a new Cameleon due out later this year so expect a few places will have offers and discounts to get rid of old stock.

EmmaNicole · 20/07/2012 08:12

This also looks like a good deal: www.amazon.co.uk/Bugaboo-Cameleon-Base-Dark-Blue/dp/B0017P1QDM/ref=pd_sim_sbs_by_3

Question is...do I take advantage of the offers that will be coming up and buy a current Cam or do I wait for the Cam 3 to be released...just how much better will it be???

And having had issues with my Bee Plus I'm a bit worried that another new release from Bugaboo will have problems too!

I have had this debate over the last few weeks. I had a debate between a great deal on a current Cameleon, or waiting for the new one. I was impatient and bought the current one and am now kicking myself really for being impatient and not waiting. For me the biggest Grrrr is the chassis opening. Its not easy, but it is to be fair the only thing that I can see would make buying a new Cameleon3 worth it. If you are buying new at full price then wait. If you have a bargain then TBH I would go for it. The Orange one with 20% off at £544 to me is worth the unfold IYKWIM.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 20/07/2012 11:34

Order through Quidco and you'll get 4% cashback (£24.80)

VegemiteSandwich · 20/07/2012 11:47

I agree that there will probably be quite a few deals going on the cameleon 2. I'm happy with my orange one, though. We did consider waiting for the 3rd generation, but a) the reviews on the 2nd generation seem good (better than the 1st) and what if the 3rd has a few teething problems? b) we wanted to get a cheaper 2nd generation as a full priced 3rd generation doesn't fit into our budget unfortunately and c) I'm due in Dec and the 3rd generation is due in Sept ... I was just a small bit nervous about waiting that long in case of delays and problems.

To me, one of the main changes in the 3rd gen is that the carrycot collapses and therefore takes up less space in the boot of the car. We won't be driving around so much and therefore this is less of an issue. I also think (but am not entirely sure) that the 3rd generation has something slightly different (and better?) going on with the brakes.

EmmaNicole - that blue one on amazon seems like a great bargain. I also really like the blue, and (although I prefer the orange!) the blue is a nice classic colour that will probably have a better resale value.

Tiggywunkle · 20/07/2012 13:41

The Bugaboo carrycot folds flat anyway - the difference is in the plastic "fillets" - pieces that you slide into the ends of the carrycot. These will no longer be removable but will be attached so that they can't get lost. Its just going to make it a little easier. The changes are here
