M+P Switch - using sometimes for toddler, sometimes newborn

I have a M+P Switch which I used for DS when he was younger. DC2 is due in October, and I am still hoping I might be able to get by with a buggyboard and a sling although have started to research doubles . However, I think the Switch is only suitable for a newborn when used with the pram liner - it certainly looks more comfortable that way, and as I remember, it's a bit of a faff to take on and off. I've heard of other mums, when their toddler is tired, slinging the baby and putting the toddler in the pushchair instead. I'm not sure how easy this would be to do with the Switch, and wondered if anyone had any experience of doing so, or any ideas for making it easier? Thanks.

It should have the liner in for a newborn but its not that much of a faff imo unless you plan to swap between using it for a newborn and toddler often. I would be wary of using a buggy board as it can put a lot of pressure on the folding mechanism as its an umbrella fold. I think I would explore the sling option.
