Could I use a maxi cosi car seat footmuff on the bee+ to save buying separate cocoon and get same result for baby? X

I have a Bee Plus which I'm going to use with DC2 due in December. I am going to buy the cocoon as I understand that it is moulded to even out the slight dip when the seat unit is reclined, thereby making it flat, which is better for a baby. I have the universal footmuff which I was going to use but I think the cocoon will be "snugglier" for a little newborn. And it's a good excuse to change the colour (I'm going to buy a new hood to match the cocoon!)

Hmm was hoping to save some cash.... If I added a separate head support do you think this would do? X

Can't speak from experience, but I'm sure it would be ok. I've seen quite a few cocoons on e bay at half the price of new. I think that's what I'm going to do as I think you only get about 4 months use out of the cocoon anyway.

I had the cocoon and adored it! Baby fitted for about 7 months.

The sides are raised making it lovely and cosy and somehow just feels more "secure" than just a footmuff. Well worth it for a winter baby I would say.

I got ten months easily out of the Bugaboo cocoon with a big baby. I twitched at the cost but it was worth every penny. I would recommend it not least for flattening out the Bee seat to make it better for a newborn. I am also not sure if you will get the Bee straps through the maxi Cosi holes without cutting them bigger. I think it's worth buying one TBH.
