I need a small stroller type pushchair which is suitable for a 9month old who is quite tiny & prefers to be laid back.
I need one which folds small (needs to fit in a 1998 clio) and doesnt cost too much!!

Have you looked at the Maclarens? I'm sooo in love with my Techno XLR. It's an umbrella pushchair so folds up easily (I don't have a car so can't tell you how small a boot it would fit into), its technically suitable from birth but I started my DD in it at 3mo, and the seat reclines from normal to flat. It had a headrest and padded strap covers etc so is very snuggly for a small baby. Not sure on what your price range is but we bought our XLR recently for £60 off as it is 'last season's colours'. But the Maclarens start quite cheap and there is the Quest (which we'd actually been going to buy before the last season sale of the next model) which I think has the same fittings for a little one.

I've got a maclaren quest and love it. The new 2012 quests are fully reclined and suitable from birth. I got mine brand new and for £135 iirc from boots. (With quidco and boots points as extra savings).

I have an XLR and love it. However it only just fits in the boot of my old micra. It is also heavy for an umbrella fold.

Tiny fold and portable.and lie back - Petit Star Zia. I have seen them on Gumtree for £30 second hand. Apparently fits in the footwell behind the drivers seat in a car.

A BJCM or a Zapp Xtra :)
The Bubble will be too long I would think. Its longer than some Maclarens.

I love my maclaren quest too (although I have a hefty 2.5 yo!) I got it off ebay for twenty quid. Its immaculate. I was beyond smug when the lady delievered it (yes, I didnt even have to get off my backside to collect!)
