Can I get just the pushchair frame?

I am a first time mum, and finding all these things to buy a bit overwhelming! A friend of ours has kindly given us her maxi-cosi 0-1 year cars seat, but I just wanted to buy a push chair frame for it to fit into, rather than buying a whole pushchair? I have seen the retractable car seat/pushchair combo, but not sure where I could find just the frame... please help?

Thank you

You can get the Babystyle Oyster as just a frame. You'd need adaptors for the maxi cosi seat.

She did mention about the adaptors, but that is great thank you - do you know where to get this frame from by any chance? really appreciate it

As long as you're aware that there are recommendations about not keeping babies in car seats for long periods of time (can't remember the exact numbers but for newborns it's short, something like 30mins then moving to 2hrs as they get older, I'm hazy on the detail but someone will come along who knows) then you will be able to buy certain frames without a seat if necessary.

Not having a seat at all may pose a bit of a problem if you're talking about this being your one and only pushchair, if just for short trips, keeping in car etc. then ebay will be your friend for buying just a chassis on its own. Hope that helps.

You can also fit a maxi cosi to a Mutsy Evo Chassis with adaptors - I just ordered one from Oxford Pram Centre, you can google it.

Great to know about the car seat and newborns not being in them for longer than 30 minutes. and thank you 'salad cravings', great to know there is options...

Have a look into the car seat thing, I'm not sure of the exact precise time recommendations... There definitely are some though!

Heard good things about the Mutsy evo incidentally. The Maxi Cosi fits on a great many things (some with adaptors etc) so you have a big choice - Quinnys, bugaboos, icandys, there are loads. Personally I'd get something with the pushchair seat bit too but I suppose that is a personal choice Grin

I think one shop is just selling the Mutsy Evo frame. I personally would get the seat as well - what do you plan to do once the baby is out of the car seat? You will still need a pushchair.

For other light suggestions look at the iCandy Cherry, Babystyle Oyster, Baby Jogger City Mini 4, Bugaboo Bee, Quinny Zapp.

i'm not sure why you would only want the frame? what will you do when baby is too big for the car seat?
