BabyJogger City Elite vs Babystyle Oyster vs MaxiCosi Mura 3 vs PetiteStar Kurvi Abstract...

For anyone in the know about these things...

Current 2nd hand Graco travel system not working out.

I like the look of these 4 and they are all compatible with the MaxiCosi Pebble with is coming my way next week with it's Isofix base via a friend).

Baby DD is 5 weeks old and loves her kip! I have a 3-door Vauxhall Corsa with a small boot, so whatever I end up getting, my diddy car has to be able to fit the stroller, car seat (inc DD!) Wink AND my 10 year old DS!!!

Only got £400 MAX to spend. I'm 5ft8, DP is 6ft.

So buggy experts - what do I go for?! Is the Mura too big to fit in my boot? Is the Oyster too gimmicky? Is the "pramette" bit on the Kurvi be too flimsy? And would I regret getting the non-parent facing BabyJogger?!

All help much appreciated folks!

I have a car with a small boot and for simple ease of use, I'd go with the baby jogger.

Simply because its a small one piece fold (and so easy to fold) and should fit in your boot. I got fed up with my quinny which didn't fold with the seat unit on it and I ended up faffing around in car parks in the rain with it.

Why not hold fire, stick out your Graco for another month and a half and consider buying a Baby Jogger Versa instead? You should be able to sneak one in for circa £400 and it will give you a fab pushchair, with a neat easy one handed small fold, good brand name, car seat option and parent facing too!!! But get one preordered if you want one.
If you still want opinions on the others I will come back tomorrow re the Oyster and Mura! But look at the Versa first lol

I agree with Tiggy the versa is a fab pushchair and will meet a lot of your requirements. If you can afford to wait, I'd go with that one.

Thanks for the replies girls! BabyJogger seems to be coming up the winner (as it sort of was in my head)!

Sooooo - I've had a wee look at the Versa and it is THE ONE!!!!!!! Absolutely perfect and meets all our needs by the looks of things! Fits in the boot and quick in and out the car (with the pebble attached) on the school run/shops/etc. Faces both ways. LOVE the one-handed fold feature on the BabyJoggers - I think it's definitely the one to go for!

I think I can hang on for another month and get started with it over the summer holidays! Is it out in July/August then? And which place do you reckon is the mst reliable to pre-order from? I'm guessing the attachable carry-cot will cost extra, so I'll have to see whether I can stretch to that and if it's even worth it!

Thanks again for the advice - much appreciated. :)

PS) Apologies for the TERRIBLE spelling/grammar in my OP - 5 week old/knackered/breastfeeding fog/Yadda, yadda, yadda....! Wink

LOL I would phone Ladybugs up - only coz I know they are taking preorders and have an allocation. I think Itsababy probably have some as well. Maybe Winstanleys Pramworld. But I can't be sure. But I would start with those anyway! It is due hmm...hold on....right at the end of August which will be a bank holiday as well, plus its got to get out to stores and on to customers so I would reckon the earliest the end of the 1st week in September? It may sound ages away though if you are struggling. But I have a house full of pushchairs and I think the Versa will be pretty perfect and would be worth hanging on for TBH. Have a look at Kiddicare because they have a footmuff with a wedge in - thus probably not needing a carrycot, plus you have a footmuff for winter. Its under "other brands" or similar on their website under footmuffs.
