Sleeping in iCandy Cherry carrycot

DS is 13 days old & will sleep perfectly happily in his carrycot but not in his moses basket. I've lost the instructions for the Cherry (we had it for DC1) but seem to recall it said it shouldn't be used for overnight sleeping. Does anyone know why not? Or if there is anything I can do so that it can be used for overnight sleeping? I can't really work out why DS is so much happier in the carrycot than he is in the moses basket as they're a similar shape etc but there's a noticeable difference in how he settles as he'll go down awake in the carrycot but has to be fast fast asleep before he can be put in the moses basket as otherwise he goes mental.

The carrycot will be not approved because it wont meet safety regulations for overnight sleeping. First of all check that iCandy don't sell a mattress that is suitable for overnight sleeping for the Cherry. I know they do for some of their models. Its partly to do with ventilation - the mattresses usually have holes in them.
