Wheel Issue on BJCM 4 (2012)

I'm hoping the pushchair gurus can advise.

I purchased a BJCM 4 (2012) last week and have been using it since quite happily. However, I am experiencing an annoying issue with one of the front wheels. I like to have the wheels unlocked, in order to make the pram more steerable, but I am finding that the right front wheel (as you look from the rear) is locking in place automatically as I push the pram, meaning I have to keep stopping to adjust it back to unlocked. It can happen once or twice whilst out, or in the worst case every 5/10 metres as we walk.

This is becoming increasingly frustrating to me, particularly as the other front wheel has no similar issue, and stays freely unlocked. I should mention that I am using the pram on typical suburban streets, not off-road or on rough terrain.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? What should I do - do I need to contact the (online) retailer I purchased from or is there a Baby Jogger customer care number I can call? I am concerned that the retailer may want the pram back to check it, but I really don't want to be without a pram. If it is the case that I would need to send the pram away, then I would prefer just to purchase a spare wheel - is that possible?

Aargh how annoying for you. I have one of these but haven't had any problems with it at all.

Might be worth ringing or emailing them?

As Safmellow says give Kooltrade aka UK Baby Jogger a call. But before you do so try lining the wheels up dead straight, and then locking and unlocking them again still dead straight. Sometimes Baby Jogger front wheels will do what you describe if you simply bend down and unlock them again whilst walking ie not dead straight. It worked for me, but equally I have heard of this happening and the above not curing. The wheels were replaced no problem.

Thanks. I will try the locking/unlocking as suggested and if no joy will contact Baby Jogger UK next week.

We had this issue with my baby jogger last year, I rang baby jogger and they sent me new wheels.

They are a fabulous company, didn't even quibble with me. Since then we've had no issues.
