BJCE double or BJCS?

I prefer the first as there's no need for a bassinet/carrycot and it looks quite narrow for a side by side and its cheaper.

DH prefers the Select. He would rather have a tandem but its vastly expensive with the bassinet conversion kit and second seat and it looks heavy.

Sadly we seem to Babyjogger afficionados Blush. We have a City Mini which was great for one but a few niggles like non-adjustable handlebars and a bit difficult to steer over kerbs sometimes. Our current City Classic is great but a dinosaur and the elite looks like an update of that model.

I just can't see another make I like.

Why don't you look at the new BJCMGT which has the advantages of the Elite ie adjustable handlebar, handbrake, large seats, but is lighter than the Elite to lift and carry plus the wheels don't get stuck sideways when you stop? This might help? It shows the three singles but the essence will translate to the double versions. If you have a look around Best Buggy there's lots on all the Baby Joggers on there. The Side by Side comparisons section will be useful.

Ooooo!!! Off to look now...

Hmm confused now. I still prefer the elite I think, bigger wheels are useful where we live and the lower hood on the GT looks annoying, however I don't know if it would be a practical problem for a 2.5year and a newborn really. Its heavier though, would that make much of a difference in a double? Gonna be heavy anyway.

Also I prefer the buckle on the Elite.

I prefer the Elite buckle too, and the parent console, magnetic hood catches and especially the lift up kicker boards for sleeping children. There's no doubt the Elite is a chunk when folded (BTW its been discontinued now so get a wriggle on if you want a new one). One of the reasons the Elite has been discontinued is the weight. I think for serious off road the Elite is better. For shopping the GT is better - for example we shop more and the Elite wheels get stuck sideways when I am browsing and take a wiggle to get straight again. I tried to take a single GT through long grass this weekend and it struggled. I would guess the Elite would have breezed through. But the GT would be perfectly fine for rough roads, a walk through a woodland path or a park.

I got the BJCS as DH doesn't always like facing outwards.

*DS!!! :P

Grin is it heavy Milk? Is it easy to steer?

BJCS is fantastic! Have started using one for work and I LOVES it!

And I KNOW Milk loves it :o

i have a BJCS too. It accommodates my very big and tall 2.2y/o DD in the second seat and my 3 day old DD2 in the carseat or carrycot no problem. It is heavy but i used to have a P+T Sport which was just as heavy so i don't find it a burden. It is a little bit wonky on uneven surfaces but not too much of a problem.

I adore my BJCS. DD1 loves it. Even my curmudgeony husband admits it is a good buggy and easy to get about with.

I bought it from Winstanleys Pram World for £400 about 2 months ago. The second seat was an extra £120 with adaptors. I bought the carrycot second hand on ebay for £30 as i wasn't sure how much use it would get and so didn't want to pay BNWT price for it.
