hi ladies

im pregnant with twins and purchased a second hand icandy pear from a friend,.all was good until i saw the bugaboo donkey twin!!! love the look of it and it also comes with a pink colourway :)
(im having id girls Grin )

does anyone have it and what do you think of it, rang the local baby shop who can do it for £1050 which is loads but it looks a good quality pushchair, is it worth this money???

Yes it is worth the money, especially when you look at resale value as well. The quality is excellent. However go and try it out. The seats are large, the fabrics are great, but the conversion fom Mono to Duo is a bit of a pain - especially if you forget a clip and you have to start again removing children etc. and when it's cold. Also consider storage ie in the house and car because the fold is large and chunky. Think about where you are going. The ideal would be to have both the Pear and Donkey. The Donkey would last you longer than the Pear, but the Pear will be easier in small shops and in car seat mode.

Have just been to see the puhchair,OMG I am in love Grin Grin

Spoke to the baby shop they have told me they are at the babyshow this weekend and have given me 2 free tickets, and have advised me it will likely be cheaper at the baby show, around £950 :)

It pushes so easily and is gorgeous to look at, I'm really torn now as its so so lovely but worried it is too much money.

Any other thoughts or feedback on the pushchair would be most welcome :)

TIA

Thanks tiggywunkle do you have one??? I was in the shop and the conversion seemed relatively easy?? We were talking about how to adjust it to to get it in the front door if it didnt fit, have measured and it would be a tight fit Hmm
It looks and pushes lovely, TBH I wouldn't be able to keep both as would sell the pear to raise funds towards this, Storage in house not a problem, as would need to leave it up in the lounge which I would have to do with either the pear or a single pushchair, we have a 7 seater car, so good boot space, however I am selling my own car and we are just going to have one family car, so would be walking more, I am realistic that I wont get out and about loads with twins, I like the idea the babies would both be easily seen and I could amuse them both. I feel the Bugaboo would be lovely on the school run, the carrycots look so cosy, and the babies could sleep in them. Decisions decisions...... Im really confused. Thank you again for your input :)

Yes I have a Donkey. The conversion is great 80% of the time, but as I said if you forget something or its cold or wet or your DD is nagging in your ear then it can get stressful at times.
It does push beautifully and you can see the children and chat to them and thats the reason I got a Donkey. But for every day life if you are car based I think the Pear would be easier - certainly through the baby stage when TBH the babies will probably sleep every time you walk out of the door in the early months. But it sounds like you walk a fair bit if you do a school run. Have you seen the Stroll-Air My Duo too?
I think only you know, but if you use the car, I would keep the Pear until the babies are say 10-15 months and once they are out of the car seats and more interested in the world, then I would consider buying a Donkey then.
The Pear really is just easier in a car, the Donkey is nicer to walk with.

With twins I doubt you will need it in mono mode that regularly unless to fit though door if nessesary. So if fits through door as double I would go for it. The bugaboos Are great for sleeping in etc

thanks i ordered it today, just thinking about the conversion to fit through door ways if needed, im very excited and its absolutely gorgeous :)

Some small reductions on Bugaboo (click here) but then they seem to suggest that they'll do a price match & 15% off, so may be worth a look.
