Jane Matrix Light Advice Please

Hi

We are looking at prams for our baby due in August. We like the Jane Trider and have been looking at the Matrix Light system to use with it which doubles as both a carrycot and a car seat (the Transporter carrycot is just too big and bulky for us). We already know the matrix light car seat can be tricky to fit so would look at using the isofix base to make this easier (although expensive). We like the quality and the folding mechanism. However, I can't quite get my head around the matrix light system so if you could shed any light on the following we'd be extremely grateful:

1] Is it big enough to use as a carrycot still for a baby aged 5 or 6 months and maybe beyond?

2] The straps and buckle system although essential for the car seat element will also still be there when we just want to use it as a carrycot. Other carrycots are just that with no straps and buckles so wondered if these get in the way or if keeping the baby strapped in like this permanently even when just out for a walk is OK? - also wondering about bulky coats etc in the colder months..

3] Do people find it too big and heavy to use lifting in and out of the car?

4] Are there any other issues we might need to know about?

The other pram system we are considering although it seemed a bit less substantial in direct comparison is the bugaboo cameleon with a maxi-cosi car seat. This pram is a bit lighter, we didn't think it's folding mechanism was quite as good/easy as the trider and it doesn't fold quite as small. The carrycot though is just that with no cumbersome straps (although there's no option to sit the baby up for a while if wanted as per the matrix light.) It's also around £200 more than the Jane..

Many thanks in advance...
