I honestly can't answer your question!!
Would this help at all?
I have been using the GT all week and I am absolutely loving it. I have one issue...and that is the hood height at the front which seems daft considering the seat is huge and extends way past the front of the hood. The GT is very grounded and comfy to push and yet easy to manoeuvre. I have two again minor issues with the Elite in that it feels more back heavy - I often tip the front wheel off the floor when pushing especially with my youngest in, and secondly the front wheel sticks sideways if you stop slightly sideways - as you do when browsing in a shop ie you pull in a bit to look. The front wheel then needs to turn around to straighten and that takes a wiggle - its similar on almost all big wheeled pushchairs.
We live by the beach, and I would happily take the GT onto it. I have no idea how far forwards it would travel across the sand (and I dont have plans to try it at present) whereas I know the Elite will cruise across soft sand. But I bet the GT gives it a fair go. As for bumpy surfaces and grass, then the GT would have no problems.
I think for every day the GT is easier to handle. It takes up less room in the house and in the car boot. Its not as heavy to lift and this may be a minor thing, but as you go to flick the pushchair out, its easier with the smaller wheels than the bigger wheels.
I like the raised kicker board on the Elite for a younger child - especially when sleeping. So if you have a baby this could be a consideration. We use it a lot.
One final thing, I am 5ft 6 ins. I find the City Mini handle just a tad tall for me. The Elite although it extends low, just isn't comfy for me...I can't put my finger on it and I think its maybe unique to me! But the GT handle is just a tad lower and it seems perfect for me when horizontal.
