iCandy peach purchased at babyshow 2012 delayed!!

Hello. Has anyone else purchased an iCandy peach at the babyshow in February. We paid in full and was told it would arrive start of may. Our baby is due 12th June so that was fine. Had a call yesterday to say it has been delayed until July! So angry as they have had our money since February! Anyone else get a similar call?

I don't think you are alone. There facebook page has lots of disgruntled people on it. I think there are delays with a few of their products not just the peach. I would take a look at their facebook page, they made an announcement yesterday that they will have a shipment of single balck magic peaches available to independent stores at the end of the month. No word on other colours yet.

Seems to be a total shambles just like the release of the strawberry!

I heard that there had been a large amount of stock stolen from their warehouse perhaps your a victim of that.

My Strawberry has been delayed indefinitely due to the theft of stock. I also paid in February for delivery in June and now the cant even give an estimated month of delivery. When I was talking to my retailer about my situation, they mentioned that customers waiting for the Peach ave been advised that it could be July/August before their orders can be fulfilled.

The iCandy World Facebook page seems to be the best source of information re: deliveries.

Seems to also be a common problem with the company we purchased it off at baby show, baby planet. They have been very unhelpful, rude and have not apologised! I have requested my money back. Not only that I have found out the car seat base they sold us is not in fact compatible in our car, even though we gave them our car details before we purchsed it. Have checked online and the base unit would not ensure the baby was safe if we were to have an accident! Please spread the word to not use baby planet. Have since read many reviews from people also stating a very poor service from this company!

Any retailer that's saying Strawberries and Peaches have been stolen are either ill-informed or fobbing you off. Only Cherries and Apples were stolen from their warehouse.

I am confident that the retailer was only relaying the message they got from iCandy. There was also a lorry en route to their Ireland distributor stolen. I think that is what affected my order (I'm in NI).

Yes, there was a lorry that was hijacked, but it was about 5-6 weeks ago I think. I think iCandy are just refusing to own up to the fact that they can't coordinate themselves. I really don't know why they haven't opened up another factory to get production sorted and to fulfill all their back orders.

They do seem spectacularly disorganised and incapable of learning from past experience when it comes to the launch and supply of new products.

My main moan is that baby planet took my money back in feb and can not deliver as they agreed. Don't really care what the reason is, they have had my money and therefore are responsible for getting me my product. Have tried to meet them half way and agreed to a peach chassis from the black jack that they have in stock. I stated that I would wait for my sweetpea seat unit to arrive in July, they wouldn't do this and were really rude about te whole thing! No one use this company!
